1989/90, we modernized the AKS potato starch factory in Denmark and tripled its capacity from the original 4 tons of starch per hour to 12 tons per hour. 25 years later, we were asked to do it again, and we increased the capacity to 36 tons of starch per hour while optimizing operations and introducing energy-saving features.

We Have Roots in the Danish Potato Starch Industry.

International Starch Institute A/S is a family-owned business with roots in the Danish starch industry. In the 1990s, we tripled the production capacity at the Danish potato starch factories and have since built new turnkey factory plants for many crops around the world. Our facilities are delivered on time with the desired capacity and quality. That is what we have become known for in the starch industry.
